Tex Mex Meat Rub

Taco night starts at the barbie with Tex Mex Meat Rub. Bold and savoury up front, with a bright citrus tang and a smoky finish, this zesty blend pairs beautifully with the char on grilled steak, chicken thighs or pork.

Rub it over your meat before grilling, then slice and pile into warm tortillas with your favourite salsa. For sizzling fajitas, toss strips of capsicum and onion with a little oil and a generous shake of the rub, then cook on a hotplate until the edges start to catch.

Save a little for the sides, too. Toss sweet potato wedges in the rub before roasting, sprinkle it over chips while they’re piping hot, or shake it through a bowl of buttery popcorn. You might want to make a second bowl.
