How to use it

For a whole chook, pat the skin dry, brush it lightly with oil and sprinkle the seasoning evenly over the bird, including around the wings and legs. Roast it in the oven or under the barbecue hood. If you’re firing up the smoker, give thighs or drumsticks a generous dusting before a low-and-slow cook.

For a quick midweek feed, toss wings in a little oil and Chook Salt, then cook them in the air fryer until crisp and cooked through. It’s just as handy on the grill. Season thigh fillets on both sides, barbecue them, then tuck them into soft rolls with crunchy slaw.

Save a shake for the spuds. Toss roast potatoes in Chook Salt before they go into the oven, or sprinkle it over freshly cooked chips while they’re still piping hot so the seasoning sticks.
