Tucker Outdoor Kitchens

At Tucker we have over 30 years of experience in making and designing barbecues built for our harsh Australian conditions.

We have now taken this to the next level and have designed and developed a huge range of Outdoor Kitchen cabinetry and appliances that will withstand any environment be it fully exposed to the weather or under cover.

Tucker have become a leading Outdoor Kitchen supplier and are trusted to build unique, personalised creations to fit your desired entertaining area and help you create the outdoor environment you want.

Our cabinetry has been designed so it integrates seamlessly with our BBQs, Woks and other appliances and we have taken care of potential problems with temperature hazards and ventilation requirements for you.

We have developed our cabinetry so that you can easily design your own kitchen from our large selection of cabinets, drawers, BBQs, fridges, sinks etc and arrange them in which ever way you choose to suit your very own living space.

The Tucker Difference in Outdoor Kitchens

We have been making and designing BBQs and related products for over 30 years and our market has been to homes in and around the northern beaches of Sydney since the start.

Homes from Manly to Palm Beach, our products have been developed and designed to withstand
some of the harshest conditions you can throw at them, the toughest testing ground.

Cliff top wind-swept homes with salt spray daily, storms, heavy rain, harsh sun daily, our BBQs are fully exposed to these conditions their whole life.

Every time they are used they are on fire, exposed to temperatures from 200-400 degrees Celsius, we have developed our products with years of experience. We know what materials we need and where to use them, materials that can withstand the conditions thrown at them. We know that our products require cleaning, maintenance and service on a regular basis so we make our products with this in mind.

That is why I would choose a Tucker Product over any another Brand.

Our service costs are lower than any other brand, the parts are all independent of each other, meaning if something is worn out, it can be replaced without the need of another part being replaced with it unnecessarily because these parts are not integrated together like most other Brands, saving you time and cost.

This is something we are proud of, the fact that our BBQs can be rebuilt over and over again and last the ages. If you were to replace every consumable part in one of our BBQs you could do it for as little as 10 to 20 % of a New BBQ.

The Stainless Steel bodies are so sound they will last 30 years comfortably. A lot of our older BBQs are still going strong and being the innovators we are, constantly improving on designs and new methods, we have never built them as good as the products we build now. So I truly believe our products we build today will last even longer and for an even more satisfying cook.

This is the Tucker Difference.

Examples of our Barbecues installed in our Outdoor Kitchens

The R Class Professional

The R Class V10 BBQs have been purpose built for our kitchens.

With a high-end commercial finish available in 304 grade stainless steel and in some models 316 marine grade stainless steel, the R Class have been built to integrate into the kitchens more seamlessly than the GTR Range.

The fascia of the BBQ has the same profile front as our benchtops so that it doesn’t protrude out beyond the benchtops for a cleaner finish.
It is powerful yet 20% more efficient at the same time than any BBQ we have ever made before and is a dream to use.

Displayed here the R Class V10 is flanked by a double cupboard to the left with the sink between two benchtops, one of which is above a single door fridge which offers a great working design layout for entertaining. A 900mm double door cupboard on the right gives you plenty of benchtop space as well as ample storage space below, great for large families with loads of toys to store or gardening equipment they want kept at hand.

This kitchen is 3630mm long x 680mm deep x 900mm high which is still quite compact yet it offers a lot with plenty of bench space.
Finished here with porcelain doors in Pietra Di Savoia Antricite with porcelain Pietra Di Savoia Grigio Benchtops and Waterfall end panels this is a very low maintenance kitchen that will always look good under cover or fully exposed to the elements.

The Horizon Barbecue

Our horizon BBQ is made from 316 marine grade stainless steel and is offered with a flat hinged lid or a slimline roasting hood of your choice.

It is unique in the way that it sits into the benchtop of the kitchen so that there are no knobs visible from the front of the kitchen offering a more sleek minimalist finish to your kitchen.

It has two controls valves up above the benchtop, yet it has 6 powerful stainless steel burners below the cooking plate and grill. The plate and grill run horizontal to the benchtop unlike most BBQ cooking surfaces, this design makes cooking on the grill more comfortable than conventional BBQs as all the heat from under the grill is released away from you toward the back so you don’t get the heat on your forearms when cooking.

Displayed with a 940mm double door fridge to the left of the BBQ offering a large benchtop above and a 450mm cupboard to the right of the BBQ with a cutlery drawer above it, next to a 900mm double door cupboard to the right of that. This is a great kitchen for the connoisseur.

Shown here with Nero Asoluto Black porcelain Benchtops and waterfall end panels and Black Glass Doors this kitchen is elegant and timeless yet it will be durable any coastal environment.

Why choose our Outdoor Kitchens ?

Outdoor kitchens have come of age. No longer do our customers want just a BBQ on the mobile trolley, the market has matured.

We at Tucker have been aware of this and have been looking at innovative ways to grow in this space and it is no wonder we are now the leading manufacturer of outdoor kitchens.

Our range of Stainless Steel BBQs and related products are the envy and benchmark of the industry.

The only zero clearance BBQ in Australia is a Tucker.

We have taken the headache of how to install a BBQ into combustible cabinetry.

Our Built-In BBQs can be fitted with insulation jackets so as they can be installed into materials used normally for indoor kitchens.

We have designed our STANDARD STAINLESS STEEL BBQ CABINETS so as they can be used for a free standing BBQ for your deck or as a built in BBQ on a cabinet that can be installed into combustible cabinetry with ease.

We have a huge range of kitchen cabinetry that can be mixed and matched together with our BBQs to create your outdoor kitchen along with fridges, freezers, dishwashers, pizza ovens, range hoods, sinks or anything you can think of.

Our cabinets are made from all weather polymer board which is water proof and fire retardant. We use soft closing hinges made from durable 304 grade stainless steel and our door frames are made using anodized aluminum and faced with glass available in any colour in the Dulux colour range or porcelain panels with a 25 year warranty.

We surround these cabinets and appliances with porcelain benchtops, the only materials made to withstand the rigors of the Aussie outdoors.

With our experience and knowledge of the harsh Australian climate we believe we have chosen the best materials to build an outdoor kitchen be it under cover or fully exposed in the weather.

We invite you to come and experience the Tucker Difference.

Why Porcelain Stone?

There are various materials used in the kitchen industry to manufacture benchtops from but only a handful of materials which can be warranted outdoors.

Porcelain is now our preferred choice of benchtop material due to its unmatched features and durability outside over any other benchtops available.

New technologies in benchtop materials has enabled the use of large format porcelain tiles to be used on our benchtops and in our doors.

Porcelain is very durable and requires little maintenance other than washing down to keep it clean. It does not need to be sealed and can withstand heat from BBQs and Wok Cookers easily as it has been fired at high temperatures during manufacturing.

Porcelain can easily withstand all the elements like sunlight and rain even in coastal conditions. It is easy to clean, comes in a large range of colours and textures and offers a durable solution for your bench top.

Porcelain is considered non porous in fact it only has 1 tenth of 1 % porosity making it great for BBQ benchtops that normally get splattered with cooking oil over time. It is available in lots of colours in both Gloss or Matt finishes. Matt benchtops are ideal for external kitchen benchtops as they do not show up dust and watermarks like gloss benchtops do which makes them less maintenance than gloss benchtops.

Finally our Porcelain Benchtops come with a factory warranty of up to 10 years which gives you confidence it will look good for years outdoors. TnCs apply.

Man made engineered stone like Ceasar Stone, Smart Stone and the like are not generally warranted if used outdoors as they can fade and cup. They are also generally made at low temperatures up to 100 degrees so heat generated from BBQs can damage them if they are not insulated from heat. We do not recommend or use any benchtops made from resin based materials like these types of benchtops for our outdoors kitchens.

Why we recommend Porcelain over Granite.

Granite is quarried out of the earth and has been until now the only low maintenance, durable material available for which we could use. How ever we have had cases in the past where we have had benchtops crack from fractures deep within the stone and when installed fully exposed to sun and rain they have cracked.

The granite needs to be polished to reduce the porosity because if it is left natural or honed it is porous and will need sealing every year. Stone masons only warrant their workmanship of granite benchtops not the granite itself so be careful when selecting a benchtop for your kitchen.

Our Promise

Finally our Porcelain Benchtops come with a factory warranty of up to 10 years which gives you confidence it will look good for years outdoors. TnCs apply.

General wear and tear is not covered by warranty which includes fading, scratching and surface corrosion.

How to Design and Create Your Very Own Outdoor Kitchen

id="Get started"

STEP 1

Taking Dimensions and Photos of your Outdoor Area

The first step in planning an outdoor kitchen is to measure the space to be utilised and take photos of the area so that we can get an idea of where the kitchen will be located and help you design and lay out your kitchen.

Consider the optimum location for your kitchen. It is always preferable to situate your kitchen under cover so that you can cook on it regardless of the weather! Consider this: If it's not undercover and it starts raining, you'll need an umbrella.

If you are considering installing a washbasin, you must ensure that you have a place for your wastewater to go.

Water, power and gas are always straightforward to get to a kitchen, but wastewater is more difficult if there is no drainage.

Measure the available space and picture it with your phone.

Consider the amount of area available, where the sun will rise and set, the prevailing wind directions, and where the rain will fall most frequently.

All of these factors must be considered while determining the optimum location for your kitchen installation.

STEP 2

Choose the Desired Appliances

Outdoor Kitchen Appliances

All Tucker Outdoor Kitchens can be easily customised to suit you and your outdoor area. Customers can choose from an array of kitchen appliances including any of our premium range of barbecues, fridges, wine coolers, dishwashers, sinks, wok cookers, deep fryers and pizza ovens.

Make a wish list of appliances you would like to incorporate into your kitchen design. Once we have the measurements of the total area you have available and the wish list of appliances you want, then we can start to mark out the best layout, location and work towards a few designs. So as to help you configure the layout of your Kitchen. Below we have a selection of different barbecue series and models.

STEP 3

Select the right Cupboards for your Kitchen

Cupboard Structure and Material

This is where we can use our range of cabinetry to help integrate your selected appliances together to create the flow of workspace and storage to suite your needs. Our cabinetry is made from Polymer Dura Board its water resistant and fire retardant. So, it will last in all weather conditions and is easily cleaned with normal soap and water or Jiff.

How to Choose the right Cupboards

You can mix and match cupboards and drawers with BBQs and Fridges to form bench space as this is something that is often overlooked in good kitchen design. See below for our selection of fine cabinetry.

Standard Cupboard Selection

We do Custom Made Cupboards for better options for you

STEP 4

Select the Stone for your Outdoor Kitchen

Our Bench Tops

Bench top selection is important as the material used needs to be durable against the challenges an Outdoor kitchen faces every day such as sun, rain, frost and the user.

We prefer to use porcelain on our benchtops as it is heatproof, waterproof, it will not fade under sunlight, and it never needs sealing, it just requires normal periodic cleaning to keep it looking great and it comes with a long warranty weather it is undercover or exposed to the elements 24/7.

STEP 5

Select Outdoor Kitchen Doors

Our Outdoor Kitchen Doors

Along with benchtop selection is the choice of doors to finish off the look of an outdoor kitchen. Our Doors are made to last, they are fabricated from Anodised-Aluminium and the front faces are finished in either glass or porcelain to match alongside your bench tops.

We have gone to great lengths to source stainless steel hinges so as to supply you with the most durable hardware on offer in the market. Where we don’t use stainless steel we have chosen ‘Blumin Hardware’ for our soft closing doors and drawer runners to offer a top end experience.
