How to Clean your Tucker Friar Tuck Flat Plate BBQ

Cleaning your BBQ can sometimes be a hard task. But with The Tucker Friar Tuck BBQ have made it quite simple with our cleaning products to keep your BBQ spick and span.

Let’s start with preparation for cleaning. What you will need

  • Rubber Gloves
  • Tucker Heavy Duty BBQ Cleaner
  • Scotch Brite cleaning pads(don’t use steel wool or stainless steel scourer as this will result in leaving steel flakes in BBQ surface which may lead to rust)
  • Drying rag/towel for outside of BBQ
  • Tucker Clean and Guard Stainless Steel Cleaner
  • Water (running hose)

Method

1.
We tend to advise that you do this outside in the sunshine so the sun can get the BBQ warm or you can easily do this after a cook (wait around 15 mins so the BBQ is not too hot)

2.
Firstly, take any larger food waste from the plate and add a spray trigger to the bottle of Tucker Cleaner and liberally spray all over the plate surface. Let this sit for at least 20 mins to activate the alkaline cleaner.

3.
With a Scotch Brite pad start cleaning the plate with the grain of the stainless steel and you will start to see the plate come back to clean. If required use water and more Tucker cleaner to get the plate back to like new.

4. For the more stubborn waste you can use a Grill Stone which can be purchased here

For the outside of the BBQ you can use Tucker Clean N Guard Stainless Steel Cleaner to polish up the outside of the grill with a dry old towel or rag.
